Commitment to Health & Safety – New Zealand Standards
At Aeromec Solution, we are fully committed to upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing in accordance with New Zealand legislation and industry best practices.
Our systems and procedures align with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA), ensuring we meet our duties as a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU). We believe that every employee, contractor, and visitor has the right to a safe and healthy working environment — and we take proactive steps to ensure this at every level of our operations.
Site-Specific Safety Planning (SSSP)
For all projects, Aeromech Solution prepares a Site-Specific Safety Plan in line with guidance from WorkSafe New Zealand. This plan:
- Identifies and assesses potential hazards specific to each site
- Outlines appropriate controls and risk mitigation strategies
- Includes Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Task Analysis for high-risk activities
- Ensures emergency procedures are in place and clearly communicated
Daily Pre-Start Meetings
We hold daily toolbox meetings to:
- Discuss planned activities
- Review current site hazards
- Reinforce safe work practices
- Encourage staff to raise safety concerns and suggestions
These sessions are an essential part of our culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
Qualified & Competent Workforce
All Aeromech staff maintain relevant industry certifications and safety training, including:
- Site Safe Passports
- First Aid Certification
- Height Safety, Confined Spaces, and other specialized training where applicable
Training is refreshed regularly to ensure competence and awareness of evolving risks and standards.
